Improvements consist of a Historic Brick Home originally owned by United Verde Extension Mining Company. UVX Superintendent Barney Hogarty were the first residents in 1918. Built by Thomas A Stiles, supervisor. A Bungalow style, the finest and most opulent home in the Verde/Clemenceau area when it was completed in 1918 and for many years after. After the smelter closed in 1937 the property was vacant. The Garrett family acquired the property in 1947 and their family occupied it till 1995. Mr. Garrett was the first Mayor of the Town of Cottonwood. The present owner acquired the property in 2002 and remodeled it into the use for a Law Office. It was approved for re-zoning from residential to commercial (C1). An additional home built in the rear were originally called "the carriage house." Presently upstairs with a small deck, 2 bedroom 1 bath apartment and downstairs with w/d hook ups, ½ bath and finished office rooms and storage area.
