December 2017 Stable home sales for Berkeley, Ca.

During December 2017 the median price paid for homes in Berkeley increased by 65% year over year to $1,043,239. Sales of  homes increased by17.1 percent year over year. According to the Days on Market indicator, homes were on the market for 22 days up from the previous year from 19 days.

Demand for homes in Berkeley continues to be very strong. Despite it being a slower real estate season during the month of December, demand is very strong for homes. The intense fluctuation in median sales price is due to more higher priced homes being sold in December 2017. In fact, the average price increased by 10.2 percent to $1,038,329 in December.
