At Verhouse Inc. we want to provide a convenient and safe online experience for you. Our Privacy Policy describes what information we collect, how we may use that information, how we share that information, and how we protect that information on our website, which is located at www.verhouse.com(the “Site”). Updates to our privacy policy happen periodically, we encourage our users to check back regularly to see what updates have been made.

What personal information do we collect?

Personal information includes name, address, email address, telephone number, and other information that identifies you. We may collect personal information from you directly or indirectly. For example, when you register for an Account, you are asked to submit your name, address, email address, telephone number. You may also voluntarily provide us personal information if you email us, inquire about a property, call us, complete an online survey, or otherwise respond to a request from us for information.

Even if you do not register with us, we may automatically collect certain information concerning your visits, such as your Internet Protocol (IP) address and browser information, which will allow us to track your use of the Site. Upon your return to the Site and/or subsequent registration, we will update your profile with your previous search history in order to create a more complete user profile. We may also use a third party to help us gather and analyze information about the areas that you visit on the Site to evaluate and improve the client experience and the convenience of the Site, and to help us analyze some or all of the information that you provide to us.

If we collect personal information from you, whether provided to us voluntarily or involuntarily, you are giving us permission, subject to the terms of this Privacy Policy, to use and disclose that information in any manner desired, including without limitation to contact you regarding the Services offered on the Site, to improve or enhance Site performance, to communicate to you about other matters that may be of interest to you, and to respond to any inquiries that you may initiate.

How do we use the information we collect?

When we collect information from you, we may use it for a number of purposes, including to:

  • Identify your search preferences so that we can notify you of property listings and other information relating to our business that might be of interest to you;
  • Respond to your comments and inquiries; and
  • Help us understand Site activity and improve your use of our Site.

In order for us to maintain the accuracy of your personal information and improve our communication with you, we may also combine the information we collect with other public demographic information.

This Site is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not collect or maintain personal information, via the Site or otherwise, from those we actually know are children under 13 years of age. If you are under 13, you should not submit any personal information to us. If you are the parent of a child under 13, please help us protect your child’s privacy by instructing them never to provide personal information on this Site or any other without your permission.

Who do we share your information with?

Information about our customers is important to our business. We are not in the business of selling personal information to unaffiliated third parties for their commercial use. Under certain circumstances and from time to time, we may share your personal information with third parties as set forth herein.

  • Partner Agents. In order to offer products and services to you consistent with the purposes identified in this Privacy Policy, we may pass along personal information submitted by you to one or more of our real estate brokers, agents or affiliates, who may use this information to contact you about our sales, leasing, financing and other services. We may also share your personal information with our partners and related companies in the real estate industry, including mortgage lenders, appraisers and real estate management companies, regarding any transaction or service that we think, may be of interest to you. For example. You request more information or a showing request for a specific property, or properties in general. Without us sharing your information with the relevant Agent, she/he would not be able to help you. 
  • Service Providers. We may share certain personal information we collect about you with third parties who perform services for us or with whom we contract for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. For example, we may use third parties to host the Site, operate certain of its features, send emails, print or send mailings, conduct customer research, and manage and analyze data and our advertising effectiveness. These third party service providers are given the information that they need to perform their designated functions and we do not authorize them to use or disclose your personal information for their own or any others’ marketing purposes.
  • Legal Requests. On rare occasions we may be required to disclose your information as is required by law pursuant to lawful requests such as subpoenas, court or agency orders, or as we may reasonably determine to be necessary to protect our rights or the rights of others, to avert harm to persons or property, or to enforce this Privacy Policy.

You can opt out of receiving promotional email from us by following the “unsubscribe” instructions at the bottom of any emails we may send you, by emailing us, or by following the links on our Site to remove yourself from our mailing list. Unless you open a new account, enter a contest, inquire about a property, contact us or otherwise subsequently sign up to receive newsletters, emails or personalized on-line advertisements, you will not receive anything further from us.

 

Updates and Effective Date

We reserve the right to make changes to our Privacy Policy from time to time for any reason. Such changes, modifications, additions or deletions shall be effective immediately upon posting, unless otherwise indicated. We have no duty or obligation to inform prior visitors that changes have been made, regardless of the scope and importance of the changes. We encourage you to periodically check back and review this Privacy Policy so that you always will know what information we collect, how we use it and to whom we disclose it. Your continued use of the Site after such changes are posted will be deemed to constitute your agreement to and acceptance of such changes.

Privacy Rights specifically for California Residents

California Residents May have additional rights.

The California Consumer Privacy Act, which takes effect January 1, 2020, provides California Residents with additional rights and protections. This is an overview of the information Verhouse Inc. collects, how we collect it, and why.

We also provide avenues for California Residences to have control over their data to add, edit, change, or delete their information. Verhouse also allows California residents to opt-out of selling their information to third parties.

One of the core functions that Verhouse offers its users, is to connect users, who have questions and inquiries about real estate for sale, with Partner Agents. Partner Agents are licensed real estate agents. Opting-out of “selling” your information prevents us from fully assisting our users by connecting them with a Partner Agent who can legally discuss the details and set up showings for the properties displayed on the Verhouse website.

We collect the following information:

identifiers such as user name, name (if provided), IP address, email, used to create your registration for Verhouse Inc. site.

Any information you provide in your search for purchasing, renting, leasing, or selling real estate in the states in which we operate. This is generally provided through property inquiries and contact you make specifically with us.

We collect this information in order for our users to have an improved user experience. When inquiring about real estate, we do share your information with a Partner Agent in the state of California. Partner Agents are licensed real estate agents and brokers in California.

California residents may request disclosure of information provided to third parties, such as Partner Agents, who wish to contact you for promotional purposes of their services and/or products. This includes name and contact information.

◦Right to Know. You have the right to request that we disclose to you the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you as well as information about how we collect, use, disclose, and “sell” personal information.

◦Right to Delete. You have the right to request the deletion of personal information that we collect or maintain about you and your account. Please note that requesting deletion will require the cancellation and deletion of your account, which, upon completion, cannot be undone.

Once you have an account with Verhouse.com you can at any time delete your account and all of your information. Simply log in to your account, and under settings, you can delete your account. You can also request to view your private information on your account. In your account settings, you can change your information at any time.

If you wish to contact us directly to add, change, amend or delete your information on our site, you may contact Verhouse Inc. However, when contacting us, we need some identifying information to ensure that it is your account. Please contact us for assistance.

◦Right to Opt-Out of “Sale”. Verhouse Inc. may disclose certain information about you if you are a registered user of the Verhouse.com. site for purposes that may be considered a “sale” under the CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act). Contact us to say “Do not sell my Information,” and we will no longer share your information. If you do have an inquiry about a service and/or a property after you state that you do not want your information shared, we will need confirmation in writing or by email in order to fulfill your request.

▪We provide these rights, subject to a verifiable consumer request, to account holders regarding personal information collected by us in connection with your account, including any profiles. Please contact us with your request.
