It's all about the location when it comes to Hono Kai. This vacation rentable complex is located in Maalaea which is about a 15 minute drive to the airport, shopping, and Wailuku Town. Go in the other direction and all the fun stuff West Maui has to offer is about a 30 minute drive. The Maui Ocean Center, whale watches, dinner cruises and some great restaurants are at the other end of the street. Hono Kai itself is an ocean front complex that features an ocean side bbq area and swimming pool. It is landscaped with some beautiful flowers and fauna complete with bananas, guavas and papayas. One of Maalaea's rare white sand beaches is right out front, so it's a great place for all kinds of water sports or just getting some sun. Hono Kai A4 is one of the units closest to the ocean. It feels like a beach bungalow with its color palette and decor. There are ocean views from the kitchen, living room, bedroom and lanai. Views of Haleakala are picturesque especially when the sun is setting and all the colors light up the house of the sun. The unit is kept cool and inviting by Maui's trade winds. Be warned though, sounds of the waves may just lull you to sleep. Hono Kai A4 is a favorite for many guests because of its location and aloha feeling. It has a strong rental history and it's just waiting for the new owner to add their own personal touches and happy memories.
