Oakland median home sales prices rise in January 2018. The Oakland Housing Statistics show sale prices are increasing on sales volume that was lower than the previous year. This is shown in Oakland, California real estate statistics for the month of December 2017, which were released today. According to the analysis by the Oakland and Berkeley real estate board, using data collected from its computerized Multiple Listing Service (MLS) system, the Oakland housing supply and statistics are:

January 2018 Median sales prices rise in Oakland, California
During January, the median price paid for homes in Oakland increased by 4.8% year over year to $702,343. Sales of homes decreased by 4 percent year over year. According to the Days on Market indicator, homes were on the market for 29 days up from the previous year from 34 days.
Demand for homes in Oakland continues to be strong. Despite the number of home sales declining from 2016, demand is still strong for homes. The increase in median sales price is due to a natural strengthening in median sales prices due to low inventory and high demand.
